COMMONLINK Demonstrates SWAVI-Powered Smart Home Control at Smart Life Week 2026NEW

-AI interface turns fingertip friction sounds into device commands, drawing more than 200 visitors over three days-COMMONLINK Inc. demonstrated smart home control powered by SWAVI, its friction-sound-based AI interface technology, at Smart Life Week 2026 (SLW 2026), held at COEX in Seoul from October 6 to 8. The event was hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) and organized by the Seoul AI Foundation. SWAVI, a CES 2026 Innovation Award honoree, uses on-device AI to analyze the subtle friction sounds generated as a fingertip moves across a surface and translate them into input commands. Users can interact with connected devices by tracing gestures on a surface. When integrated with an IoT hub, SWAVI enables control of a wide range of devices. Controlling an On-Screen Smart Home with a Single SensorAt the main demonstration area, visitors used a single SWAVI sensor mounted on a surface to control lighting, music playback, a robot vacuum, curtains, and a kitchen heating appliance in an on-screen smart home simulation. By tracing fingertip gestures directly on the surface, visitors could see the virtual devices respond to their commands. The demonstration highlighted how everyday surfaces can become interfaces for device control.Hands-On Lighting Control on a Wooden PanelAlongside the smart home simulation, COMMONLINK offered a demonstration with physical lights. Visitors traced gestures on a wooden panel to switch the lights on and off and change their color. This hands-on experience showed how SWAVI recognizes friction sound patterns generated on a wooden surface and translates them into lighting commands.Exploring Applications with Industry and Institutional PartnersMore than 200 visitors tried SWAVI during the three-day event. COMMONLINK also showcased its SWAVI product lineup and discussed potential integration into products and services with representatives from businesses and public institutions. Conversations with other visitors explored additional applications, including interactive media art. Through the event’s Business Matching program, COMMONLINK met with companies and institutions from Korea and abroad to explore potential applications and collaboration opportunities.COMMONLINK plans to exhibit at AI EXPO MARS 2026 in November and CES 2027 in January. The company aims to expand SWAVI’s applications beyond smart homes into industrial and mobility settings while pursuing partnerships for product integration and technology collaboration.

COMMONLINK Presents SWAVI at Samsung Design Week 2026NEW

-Invited by Samsung Design Europe, COMMONLINK presented SWAVI at Samsung's Seoul R&D Campus on September 18th and 21st-COMMONLINK was invited by Samsung Design Europe to showcase SWAVI, an AI interface that turns ordinary surfaces into interfaces by recognizing the friction sounds of finger, at Samsung Design Week 2026.During a technology demo session at Samsung Design Week, COMMONLINK introduced the company and its SWAVI technology, and attendees got to try SWAVI for themselves.Because this was an internal Samsung event, details of the session will not be made public."We are grateful to Samsung Design Europe for inviting us to introduce SWAVI in person to Samsung designers from around the world," said Junyoung Park, CEO of COMMONLINK. "It was a meaningful opportunity to share an experience where the surface itself becomes the interface."

COMMONLINK, Selected for 2026 'TIPS' Program

Selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS General Track on recommendation of Kangwon National University Technology Holdings… SWAVI global expansion technology development begins.  COMMONLINK was selected as a final agreement recipient for the 2026 'TIPS' (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) General Track, a startup growth R&D program run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development, with selection notified on July 15, 2026. Through this project, submitted on the recommendation of Kangwon National University Technology Holdings, we will receive government R&D funding and commercialization support.TIPS is a leading private-investment-led tech startup support program in which the government matches R&D funding and commercialization support to promising tech startups discovered and recommended by vetted operating companies. Selection was confirmed through the recommendation and vetting of Kangwon National University Technology Holdings, the operating company for this program, and reflects official recognition of SWAVI's technology and market potential through a credible evaluation process.SWAVI, developed by COMMONLINK, is an invisible touch controller that uses AI to analyze the friction sound of a fingertip on a surface, enabling recognition of numbers, letters, and gestures without any button or screen. Building on the CES 2026 Innovation Award, which recognized the technology on the international stage, this TIPS selection reaffirms that SWAVI has the technical maturity and potential to extend beyond a single product into a wide range of devices and industries. Because the evaluation centered on the technology's own scalability rather than current business performance, this selection demonstrates that SWAVI's technology has been recognized as having independent value.  Building on this support, we plan to further refine SWAVI's recognition technology and continue expanding it for a range of environments. We will also accelerate the expansion of partnerships at home and abroad, along with the scope of SWAVI's market applications.
